No one can deny that change is uncertain, unknown, and unpredictable. While most people prefer comfort, safety, and to live in their comfort zones. They tend to routinize their lives. But also, deep inside we know that change is inevitable! We cannot prevent change! Realizing the fact that it is the only constant thing in life! Also, we understand that change can help us improve our lives.

What we really need is to learn how to manage and deal with change. Therefore, here are five reasons why change is difficult:

1. We are afraid of change.

When we only see the negative side of the change, failures and uncertainty, that would make us afraid of change. However, what we should really realize that change has positive side as well, only if we were able to understand it, and adapt with it, then we will become much better, improved, confident and stronger.

2. We tend to routinize our lives.

We like routine, stability and to stay inside our comfort zones. Yet what we should really understand that if we didn’t stay updated we’ll be outdated!

3. We resist change.

We are defensive against anything new or different! this’s the fact that most people don’t realize that resisting change will keep unity in our personalities. But what we should really do is to be open to any new or different ideas, be rational and don’t resist for just resistance!

4. We don’t know what the change requires.

Most people will fail to change because, they don’t have the competence, knowledge, and qualities that are necessary for any change. But what we should really do is get ready, prepare ourselves, seek help when needed, ask questions, and get the proper training to be able to deal effectively with the change challenges.

5. We rush the results.

Most of us will rush the results and think that change is so easy! But what we should really do is to have clear goals, work hard, be patient, create short wins and celebrate them to gain more confidence in our journey towards successful change!

At the end, I’d say that we should be courageous, open to change, flexible, give our best, work hard and enjoy the change!
